I've been using MuseScore for a few years now. It's a music composition and notation software. And it's FREE. I just upgraded a few months ago to MS 3. And now MS 4 is out. Seems like there are a few bugs to fix so I'll wait a bit to upgrade.
Once you get the feel for it, it's a nifty piece of kit. Adding chord symbols is a great feature and surprise, surprise, the chords will play back. You can easily change from standard clef notation to tab and back. The lyrics tool is easy to use. I've transcribed horn parts and added them to my backing tracks. Transposing is a breeze. Currently I'm in my wife's choir and alternate between tenor and baritone. She has charts in 4 or 5 part with piano accompaniment, so reading off the charts is nearly impossible for myopic me. I transcribe the part I sing and print it out in 1 or 2 and at most 3 pages in large enough font so I can read it on a stand. For practicing on my own, I'll use the playback transport. If you're looking for a notation software, I highly recommend.

I dont use it a lot but it is a fantastic bit of software and it is free !
And there is a community of users that shares their work, which is an invaluable resource.
It is one of the best things on the internet.

I have some limited experience using Sibelius but I haven't had to write out, or read, a chart in, I can't remember when. It's been decades. The only notation type software I use any more is Guitar Pro 8 but it's mostly focused on stringed instruments but will do others as well. I don't have much experience with it but it looks like it's quite powerful.
