The first analysis is in and, thus far, there has been no degradation in the game in terms of balls, strikes, hits, etc…, and it has accomplished its intended purpose. The games have been shortened by almost 30 minutes on average.
Now, if they’ll just get rid of the umpires and bring the laser beam strike zone (already implemented in the minors)! I HATE the arbitrary strike zones, just like I hate the argument in basketball and football “a game shouldn’t be decided by a ref at the end of games”. A foul is a foul and should be called consistently, no matter the quarter.
But, refs are incapable of that. Sports referees are an area where I’m on board 100% with technology replacing humans.

I respectfully disagree. Human error is part of what makes sports exciting to me. I hate instant replay and I would not like laser strike zones either.

Where is the fun in "respectfully disagreeing"? Just give me a minute to fetch my hotdog and beer.

Human error is a different matter. I understand a missed call or whatever, but I'm all for eliminating that too if at all possible. But, umpires creating their own strike zones really chaps my backside. That's exactly why they're on their way out the door sooner rather than later, and I can't wait! They don't seem to understand they are there as an unbiased party to call the games according to the existing rules, not make up their own.

There is obvious bias in the way some football games are officiated. I wish there was a way to get rid of the bias and not ruin the game. I don't like instant replay the way it is implemented.
I don't watch enough baseball to have an opinion.

I like the pitch clock but a big NO on non-human umpires.
I wonder what the "human rain delay" Mike Hargrove thinks of the pitch clock?
