Regularly in my younger years.
If you love the material, you NEED to go.
If you don't, it'll be a long ugly slog but you should still go anyway - it's EVENT.

Yeah...no: opera's not for me. I appreciate and admire the effort and dedication those people put into developing their voices as musical instruments, but find the resulting outcome aesthetically completely unappealing.
My brother loves Wagner and has attended the whole cycle numerous times, so I guess he is discharging the family obligation to support it.
I'm good with that.

I went to see it. Discussing it beforehand with various people, I decided it would be for the "experience".
The staging was excellent, the singing was excellent and the star of the show was the woman who played Brunhilde. Outstanding, it would have been cheap at twice the price.
During the last act of the 4th opera, after 22 hours, everyone was riveted to the stage watching and listening to her.
Don't think I will go again tho'.
Not many tunes you can whistle on the way home.

Yea, it's an experience - the absolute perfection of that particular art form.

Pretty catchy tune. Gotta whistle loud, though...
Hojotoho!

9 Redheads with spears, wouldn’t want to be in the first row.
