It seems like almost nobody is buying used recording gear right now. If they are they're lowballing to the point where it doesn't make sense to sell it. I have had a matched pair of Purple Audio mic preamps for sale across about a half dozen platforms over the last month. According to everywhere I looked they should have been worth anywhere from $450 to $550 each. I started at $500 and kept dropping the price until they were $425. The only site that had any activity at all was Reverb. I had about 100 views with a handful of watchers but nobody except scammers ever contacted me.
I ended up pulling them from all the sites. I'm not going to GIVE away some very nice mic pre's for peanuts. I'll keep them first. I don't need the money. I'll wait for a month or so and relist them at my original price and see what happens. According to the average of what these were selling for my original price was lower than that.
That being said I bought a used Capi BT50 EQ off Craigslist yesterday for $600. That's a great price for a valuable item that is NEVER on the used market. Everyone that has them, keeps them. They are superb.
I was wondering if anyone else had noticed the trend of gear not selling, or is it just me?

I don't have any gear in that category really, nor have I sold anything on Reverb in many years. Are these pieces something more likely snagged by actual for profit studios than home recordists? It would seem possible that in today's world there are folks shutting down their studios and everyone else just buying newer/cheaper stuff bundled with software.
No reason to give it away if you don't need the $ or space.

It seems (to me) that lately gear sales have slowed. I usually see a summer slow-down any ways.

Inflation has hit people's available income hardcore, and the artificial demand of lockdown has faded.
