I have a Crate Powerblock, terrific little workhorse. The input jack has come loose. It looks like accessing the jack from the inside will be nightmare.
I want to tighten the 1/2" nut without rotating the the socket. It's recessed so that the input tightening tool I have ( a Bullet 2.0) is too big around to fit in and reach the nut. Any advice? Anyone have current contact info for Crate? They are no longer at SLM now. SLM referred me to Mackie/Loud Technology. Mackie doesn't handle them any more either and has no further info. Is Crate belly up?

digiboy...Just a thought. I have had this happen on an amp and guitar before. I have a long relationship with a two man luthier shop, and they both have the tool mentioned above. They allow me to use it in their shop only, but it only takes a minute or so. I would think any amp repair shop or luthier near you would have such a tool. Most of these guys are gear enthusiasts, and probably unlikely to charge you a minimum bench fee for this anyway. It is intuitively simple to use, and I would never risk spinning the jack and breaking internal connections. I myself would not try to use any other method or standard tools. The downside is obviously very risky and in your case could lead to an expensive fix.
