I can't say I'm much of a jazz man but I do go ape over Bird and Jimmy. Maybe there's hope for me yet.

Speaking of jazz organists, anyone else remember "Babyface" Willette?

I just got a new turntable and after decades of resting, my vinyl is now spinning again. The collection is all over the map but today I'm spinning:
Last Time Around by The Buffalo Springfield

LOVE the hell out of that LP. 1969....there was nothing else even close to this out there at that time IMO. My LP copy of this has seen better days. A couple months ago I bought the 2009 reissue (CD) remastered by Steven Wilson and Robert Fripp from the original analog tapes. I listened to it for the first time yesterday.
It sounds amazing. I liked it so much I just ordered the LP version.
Both are a bit over twenty bucks on AMZ. That's short money to replace a classic album if your original is lunched.

Main cartridge used is a Shure Ultra 500, also use M97xE, V15VxMR with stock or Jico SAS stylus, V15VMR, & VST V ULTRA GROUP BLACK SE, M35X, SC35C, all Shures!

Cool. I've got a V15 type III and an M97HE AH in a box with about a dozen carts that all need new styli or re tips. At some point it just became easier and usually more cost effective to buy a whole new cart rather than try to hunt down a replacement stylus or send it in for the re tip. I really liked Shure carts for a while back then.

This came in the mail today. It was originally released as part of a series of bootlegs in boxed sets on CD. Some have been released on vinyl. My copy is vinyl. I am very pleasantly surprised with the quality of the pressing. My record is very clean and flat and sounds great. I'm really enjoying this one.

so cool to see some jazz in this thread and on this forum. OK -- how 'bout this? I hadn't played this in quite a while and thought I'd give it a spin. This is an impressive lineup by any standard. Vinyl from the 80s.

Beautiful. Hazel was extremely popular in her time and had a fascinating career, butvis largely forgotten today. There's an excellent doc on her on youtube, I think it's whatever happened to Hazel Scott. Excellent selection, sir!
