Submit a photo of your pick for the most beautiful car ever. Here's my choice:
Ferrari 288 GTO
My runner up, 1987 Porsche 911 Targa Turbo:

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all, but you can do worse than a 57 Chevy Bel Air.

Ferrari 250 GTO. Cliche answer but no denying it's an amazingly beautiful piece of machinery. And the bodywork was an after-thought compared to the engine.. And here's the closest I'll ever get to driving a $40m car, other than a racing sim I guess..

I only ever really wanted two cars. One is beautiful. 65 Mustang, convertible of course, because giraffes. The other is not beautiful, the DeLorean from Back To The Future. Should I win the lottery, I’m buying both.

The goofiest thing about the Pacer is the raised door panel. You couldn't ever rest your arm along a door with an open window.

I like them all -- especially that Pacer... wow, what a chick magnet.
When I was a kid, I had the Hot Wheels version of the Bugatti Royale and the Duesenberg, and they were both a couple of my favorites.

My HS girlfriend had a Pacer. That's why I have fond memories of it.

The Delorean would be a cool car except he put that poorly designed Renault/Volvo engine in it. Expect to change camshafts every 5 to 10,000 miles. Not cheap, takes a long time, even for a guy who has done it many times. I replaced many in the 80's. I hate that car, errrr engine. He should have stuck a small block Ford in it and been done. I think the reason for the Revo engine was trans-axle availability. My favorite car design is the Michael Schumacher era F1 Ferrari F1 car.
Next would be a 1926 Rolls Royce Phantom

Joking aside, you can never go wrong with a 70's Vette.

Of course, the implicit question posed by the "Pacer" is: with what, if anything, can a Pacer keep pace?

Boy, I have soooo many. But on a lark, I'll offer up one of my favs as a kid, 1968 Buick Riveria, 430 4 bbl dual exhaust, it would go well past 120 MPH on the open highway. (Don't ask me how I know).

’Spose I could put whatever engine I wanted in it with my lottery winnings...

Another fav, 1962 Pontiac Catalina 421 SD, a real powerhouse back then: (note the 8 lug aluminum finned rims!).

Yup, terrible choice for a motor, a standard Chevy or Ford V 8 or better yet a turbo Buick V6, within a few more years the Buick Grand National motor would've been a fresh, killer swap in with much more power soon tyo come with turbo tuners. The guts to back the looks would've been killer.

This is either a love or hate, I had one, 1972 Buick Riveria 455 GS, for a big boat it moved out pretty well:

Yup. Hell to clean though! 1966 Barracuda reminiscent: Or a bit of the Marlin fastback anyhow:
