Nice! Musikraft seems to go light on the roast compared to Warmoth, mine looks a lot like that.

This is my first custom built neck. I don't have many guitars with bolt on necks. The only others are a Johnson Tele copy and a Danelectro double neck. That's not counting my Jazz Bass. The rest are Gibsons and one is a Japanese Fender Flame Ultra that has a set neck.
This will be my first experience with a compound radius as well so this entire project is my maiden voyage into a custom guitar other than swapping electronics and things like machine heads and hardware such as tailpieces and bridges.

It took some time for me to get used to the 10-16 compound radius. To me my favorite board is a well setup/leveled 7.25" radius, but can hang with virtually any kind once I acclimate. I've seen someone else describe it this way which is exactly how I initially felt. As you work your way up the fretboard there's a feeling that the center frets (say B-G-D) kinda disappear. I have 2 compound necks, one which is a Gibson conversion scale. Oddly enough, that one seems to mess with my head less than the other.

I got my Strat back from the tech yesterday. I'm glad I decided on the 1-3/4" nut width instead of 1-7/8". 1-3/4" seems to be perfect for me. Plenty of room for Mr. Banana Fingers in the low frets. It will take a small adjustment for me to get used to it but I can see this being a game changer for me. Never in my life have I had a guitar with a wide enough neck at the nut. As a result of that I stayed away from using chords with open strings in the lower positions It looks really good to. I love the look of the roasted maple finish. i.postimg.cc/xCSkphy2/20211015-082612.jpgi.postimg.cc/m2hrjTf9/20211015-082625.jpg

I'm glad it is going well so far! I can only imagine what a relief it must be. I saw your portraits in another thread and thought to myself "yeah, I'd want a wider neck, too!".
