(sigh)...just when you think your done buying pedals...I've had several in the past...but got rid of them...and its been so long I don't even remember who made them..
but now I find myself needing one...
I'd like to keep it under 100 bucks.. I don't need anything with a lot of knobs and stuff...maybe a level control and an intensity control, for lack of a better word

I have an old DOD FX-65 stereo chorus, which I love. It works fine mono with one amp, but is really cool when the outputs go to a dirty amp and a clean amp. If it ever gives out, I might try something like this:
It has 4 knobs, but they all seem useful.

I'd recommend the Maxon CS 550.
It's analog, 3 knobs, and here is a video of it with no talking. It's a very nice chorus and though they can be more expensive, there are two on reverb right now, one in excellent condition for under $115.

I did a search on best bang for the buck chorus pedals and this one came up....hard to resist...

TC Electronic Corona Chorus. Around 100$ but I've seen offers way below when I was looking out. CL: EHX Electric Mistress. Old, noisy and dirty, the only chorus pedal i kept. CE 1 and CE 5 for clean AOR sounds, an Ibanez double chorus, same, hence not worthy of the real estate it covered on the board, a Voodoo Labs Chorus, volume suck, Arion pedal, okay but noisy. Used around 40-50 bucks each of the lot.

My advice is "don't play any 80's music and you won't need a chorus pedal", haha. I got rid of mine quite a while ago and don't miss it. If I was gigging I'd probably seek one out, like some kind of mini chorus.

I really like the Voodoo Lab Analog Chorus.
It gives your signal a very pleasant sounding boost.
They’re out of production, but bounce around under $100 on Reverb.

I like Voodoo Lab pedals......I have a Sparkle Drive that I've had for almost 18 years.......best OD pedal I've ever heard...and I've tried many boutique pedals with the intention of "upgrading" from it....but those are long gone...someone mentioned it in this thread of being a volume suck......don't know, but I guess I'd have to have one to see for sure...

3 or 4 years ago I was wandering through OD pedals and finally bought a Sparkle Drive. Such a great pedal!

3 or 4 years ago I was wandering through OD pedals and finally bought a Sparkle Drive. Such a great pedal! yeah.....for some reason it just has the right amount of everything...I bought another and had it modified by Keeley...gave it a bit more "girth"...but at the same time removed the "sparkle"...I finally sold it....
I might get another one and run them together...maybe use one for just a boost......

Sparkle drives are wonderful pedals. I also have a Voodoo Labs Tremolo, the 4 knob, and its really good.

I'm not a huge Chorus fan, but I really dig my Ibanez Bi-Mode Chorus, and my TC Electronic Dimension C.
Whether or not you can get either of those for $100, I'm not sure.
I actually have two Bi-Modes, one 9 series and one 10 series.
EDITED: Actually it appears the TC version is called the 3rd Dimension, its a copy of the BOSS Dimension C

For the price range listed, I'd get the TC 3rd Dimension myself, but I have the much more expensive (and was available at the time, and I do use the stereo) Boss DC-2W.
I have the Behringer rackmount clone of the Roland SDD-320 (the thing that the 3rd Dimension and the original Boss pedal was derived from), which is the gold standard for "not quite chorus, you notice it when it's OFF versus on" type effect as well and have it dialed in on my master board/mixing console.

The old TC Chorus Flanger used to be the gold standard then and I loved it but would not want to carry one around today for the lack of battery-ability. For the re-issue, I don't know.. When I feel for a chorus pedal nowadays comma (?) that Electric Mistress has been doing alright. Plus there's a flanger to blend in when things get dull.. 20 bucks from ebay, when I could not get a new one from any store, thank you very much. 😎 To the VoodooLab crowd, I had an early Sparkle Drive for a very long time too until I generally abandoned all overdrives from my board. VoodooLab Chorus, Tremolo and Micro Vibe all sucked volume from my pedal chain and had to go. Pity, as I like the brand.

VoodooLab Chorus IIRC is just a Boss CE-2 clone, of which there are MANY now.

I'm not a huge Chorus fan, but I really dig my Ibanez Bi-Mode Chorus, and my TC Electronic Dimension C actually I'm not either...but the guy I play with and some tunes that we play, having just a little bit of chorus really makes a big difference...which is why I'm looking for something simple and cheap...lol

I've had this Morley Crystal Chorus for many years. It's very simple, 2 knobs DSC_2189 by Larry Madsen, on Flickr

The entire Morley Gem line, of which the above belongs, is very good.

well...I finally pulled the trigger... woohoo!.....listened to quite a few video's on YT...they all sounded great...except there was a cheapo multi function pedal that had vibrato, flange, delay, echo..and some other weird stuff on it...pretty cheesy sounding....can't remember the name of it....it sucked!
so I bought the JHS series 3...the choice was not easy.....I chose it because, it's rather simple, it has a master volume and it was less than 100 bucks...I doubt I would ever have either the rate or the depth controls even halfway....
will arrive by next Monday or Tuesday...soooo.....

I’ve got the TC Electronic Corona and limited edition SCF+ Tri-Chorus (which is actually a Corona made to look like a mini SCF). Both are good but just missed that magic of the late 70s, 80s chorus pedals to my ears. When Sweetwater mentioned that they were taking orders for the SCF Gold, I jumped and pre-ordered mine. I hardly use the flanger and pitch modulation settings but that warm yet sparkly 80s chorus tone is in that little box.
