My favorite year is '78. I love those body lines. Maybe it's because I graduated that year and the emotional ties are strong toward nostalgia.
I'm with ya! My favorites are the 78-82 with the full back glass, after they stopped the vertical back glass versions. (68-77) You have good taste, LM!

The ‘79 was a tad more desireable for me because the seat design from the ‘78 Indy pace car became the standard. I had a ‘79 and enjoyed it. I always thought the ‘80-‘82 had a more sporty look with the integrated front air dam and rear spoiler. Here’s my father’s ‘80 and my ‘66.

My favorite is the C4. That's mostly due to getting to know Corvettes from playing Test Drive (the original one), since the odds of having seen one in Brazil (or any of the cars in the game and the mags I bought) in the late '80s/early '90s would have been literally zero.
Here's the kind of thing that I would be encountering (caution: MIDI soundtrack alert):
Within those, then it has to be the ZR-1.

The C4 is among my top few favorite gens, I really like the 1996 Grand Sport in blue with white stripes and red interior. We're in the minority my friend! The C4 gets a lot of hate on the Vette forums, but then again, who really cares what a bunch of cranky old geezers think anyway! LOL

My son has a C4 that he’s owned for thirty years and just finished putting a stroked LS2 engine, 5 spd Tremec, Wilwood brakes, and coil-over suspension in it. It’s quite the mover!

Make mine a 69! A friend had a ‘68 L88 that was one hell of a quick car! While it was under warranty he puked the engine in his 390 hp 427 Vette. Somehow, through a buddy at a dealership, his block was replaced with an L88 block and from there it was easy to purchase a cam and heads. I had some wild rides in that car!

I’m in trouble. A guy on one of my shooting forums let slip that one of the biggest volume Corvette dealers is here in NH, and they sell ordered cars for MSRP. I need to go look at these.

Make mine a 69! That's a great looking car. I love '73 and earlier Sting Rays with the metal bumpers. That little bit of chrome just makes 'em pop IMO. The sidepipes are a nice addition....is that a factory option? (I really don't know much about Corvettes TBH).

Our C7 Grand Sport coupe is by far the best Vette we have had (C5's and C6's).

We sold Indy when moved from Vegas back to Tennessee. That was a mistake, but we did it. Then we had a black 2011 Grand Sport convertible for a few years, but for some reason we never really bonded with that particular car. This new one is a fantastic automobile in every way. It is the best car I have ever owned.

My wife’s cousin and her husband purchased a C7 ZR-1 and if I were to pursue a C7 I think it would be that car, but for my last new Vette I think it would be great to have the mid engine car that Zora always believed in.

A friend owns a ‘91 ZR-1 that is autographed by Dave McClellan and I think that makes it a pretty cool car to own.

The C4 ZR-1 is super cool, I too would love to own one.
In addition to Mercury Marine doing the engine, I think Lotus helped tune the suspension or something.
