Free on Amazon Prime: "Kill the Irishman" (2011) Great cast. Well done. "Based on a true story", as the saying goes. Very dark: www.imdb.com/title/tt1416801/

Watched a few episodes of "Hollywood". Interesting, I wasn't aware that everybody in Hollywood during its heyday was geygay. Sheldon Coopers got a potty mouth. Think I'll pass on the rest.

For the young at heart " The Outerbanks" (Netflix) is a fun ride. If you make it to the 2nd episode it really starts to draw you in with sort of a modern Hardy Boy type mystery.

I overheard 10 minutes of one episode while my wife was watching. Hearing Sheldon dropping f-bombs in his Sheldon voice (which is just how Parsons talks) was probably worth it.

Santa Clarita Diet is so campy and fun. Might be Timothy Olyphant at his finest, without question at his funniest.

Not sure if watching something on demand counts, but if you are a sports fan, check out The Last Dance, the documentary about Michael Jordan’s last season. It’s kind of mislabeled as they discuss multiple aspects of his career. I’m about halfway through and it’s bringing me back to the 90’s when he was completely dominant.
And I’m not even a basketball fan anymore.

On Netflix... - +1 on Mindhunters. - Bodyguard (British, 1 season only, intense) - Impostors (2 seasons, funny, clever, hot women) - 2 hour doc "Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage' -- band origins, trials & tribulations. Really good. I had no idea.

"Through Black Spruce" on Amazon. The over-all IMDB rating is dragged down because of a couple of pretty mindless pan reviews: people seem to either love or hate this film. It turned out not to be at all the caricatured "strong-woman-completely-kicks-ass/action" picture I was half expecting when we started watching it cold on a whim. Even the "good" characters all have their human weaknesses, flaws and shortcomings. Editing is a bit disjointed at times, perhaps, and not every thread of the story is tied up with a neat little bow by the end, but that actually made it feel more realistic to me. Brandon Oakes is very good, but Tantoo Cardinal and Graham Green (both of whom have bit parts) were about the only cast members I'd heard of before. A "different" experience. We liked it a lot: www.imdb.com/title/tt7400118/BTW: there is a bit of pretty graphically-violent and mildly-sexual content, so this is not appropriate for young eyes.

“Coldwater Fell” on Acorn through Amazon. 4 episodes. Do the free month and then cancel. “Run” on Amazon. 7 short episodes from the maker of “Fleabag”, also good. “Confession” also on Amazon. Police procedural, a bit slow.

I suffered through "Hollywood" and found it quite amusing. It was so woke it had to be intentional comedy. Alternate reality in Man in the High Castle way, Hollywood reinventing itself in a retroactive apology piece.
Sheldon, go to your room.

Really good. I had no idea. Imposters was a fun show, you have to be able to suspend disbelief because it’s not realistic, but if you can accept that from a TV show it’s very fun. I just watched “Defending Jacob” on Apple TV, the first 7 episodes anyway. Season finale is Friday. Very good show if you like crime/legal dramas.

Thank you -- That Netflix Fyre Festival doc was the most entertaining 96 mins of TV I've watched in a while: slow motion train wreck! Bros shouldn't let bros attempt to plan anything complicated.

Netflix has The Twilight Zone, 4 of the 5 yrs it was on. Season 3, episode 19 is a good one, it's about a man and his dog.

Free on Amazon Prime: "Kill the Irishman" (2011) Amazon Prime is NOT free. It's $119 per year or $12.99 per month. Hey, I thought Moe's was supposed to stick it to the man and boycott Amazon. C'mon guys, if we stick together we can put them out of business, maaan 🙃🙄

I maintain my Prime account for the free 2-day shipping, which is more than worth the $119. So I consider the programming a “free” bonus.

Im watching A League of Their Own on IMDB. Its free with commercials.
What a great flick. I forgot John Lovett was in it, he's not much of an actor but he is perfect for the part he plays.

I had to quote myself. Star Trek Continues is an award winning, full length, faithful repo of Star Trek. 3 of the episodes are continuations of the original episodes, like a part II. The sets, costumes, special effects, sounds, and mannerisms are spot on. Its just like watching new "old" episodes. There are 11 episodes. Try it out, you can always turn it off.

We watched Inception last night. $3.99 rental on every streaming service and on Directv. Very cool movie. Since it’s all based in dreams, nothing requires believability.

We watched "The Goldfinch" yesterday on Prime. My wife read and loved the book and was luke warm about the movie. I found it a bit slow moving but probably because I've become so used to seeing CGI, super heros and super stars. I ultimately enjoyed it. The only recognizable actors to me were Jeffrey Wright, Nicole Kidman and the weird kid from Stranger Things(oh, and a despicable Luke Wilson) . The movie follows the story of a kid who survives a terrorist attack in a museum which kills his mother and through a set of weird circumstances appropriates a famous painting that survived the blast.

"White Rhino": big-wave surfing documentary free on Amazon.
Some great big-wave footage with commentary by the riders and photographers (whose articulateness is a mixed bag). There are a some "arty" effects (which I found annoying) applied to a few stills, but most of the video footage makes up for that. If big-wave surfing and adrenaline junkie behavior interests you, you'll probably like it.
I enjoyed it, but I've been surfing since I was 12, so that should come as no surprise...

Netflix movie: "I Am Mother" - Sci Fi/tech thriller. 90% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Hillary Swank's in it. Good stuff.
