The top in the first photo is a close representation of the color. The photos that look like a vivid yellow, are from the morning sun. It's not that yellow.

That’s really nice. Studios are really nice Lester’s. I’ve had Traditionals , Classics and Studios . The studios can hang with the traditionals imo. Just less bling . I have a tribute right now as my only lester and it lives up to everything a les Paul should be except for bling and flash.

Thanks!
This is my second studio. The first one being the first Gibson I ever purchased. 2001 in Wine Red with a flame top.
How many Studios have you seen with a flame top?

That is really sweet looking! You know as nice looking as your burgundy studio is I really favor that new Yellow chunk of wood. Very alluring!

A couple things right off the bat, the Satin Yellow Studio has a super dark fret board. Darkest I've ever seen on a Gibson, and two, its fairly light. 7 lbs, 12 oz. I have not played it yet. I carefully took some photo's and then washed my hands. Call me overly cautious, but I'm giving the guitar some time for the cooties to become non viable.

Very nice. Give us a review after you play it a bit.

Very nice! The yellow with the Black appointments looks great!
What is the weight? Sorry, I have a bad back so I always ask that question?

I'm giving the guitar some time for the cooties to become non viable. Did they charge extra for the cooties? You have more will power than I do. I would have it hooked up and checking it out

Got a great deal, it came with a black Gibson hard case. Got it for 739.00 before tax. They must of had it on the cootie discount. That's why I'm suspicious. I went back to my acoustic after too long of a break to learn CCR's Have you ever seen the rain, so I'm good for the moment.

Oh, I didn't know the new Studio's have 2 x volume (push/pull coil-tap) set up. Interesting. I don't know why they got rid of the switch ring. They need the switch ring.
I do like that color. Oh, he also said in the video, they are "ultra weight relieved" first time I've heard the ultra added in there.

I love my 2018 Studio HPs (robotuners and all) - with the factory Plek on both, the flight cases, and full nice finishes plus actual MOP inlays, it's a poor man's LP Custom with stock 490/498 pickups. The only non-standardish thing past the tuners (which could be yanked off) is the extra-wide neck and titanium parts (bridge saddles,zero-fret nut). I wasn't sure on the nut, but it came set up perfectly and has zero issues They now have custom poker chips (Will/Love) but otherwise are as pictured. The Arctic White one has significant yellowing under the pickguard (and did within the first year), but that's what Arctic White does eventually anyway. Absolutely stunning pieces of work for the $1800ish they were new - not the low-end Studio, to be sure, but...I don't feel as if I was missing *anything* from the things versus the big brothers.

I really like the yellow on the Studio too. I'd like to find a nice TV Yellow single cut Junior so I may be a bit biased.

Very nice, Rob! I see they have to knobby knobs, too.
That Alpine White one reminds me of an old friend that had an Epiphone LP that was white. Before he moved away, he offered it to me for maybe 300-350 something like that. I declined, but regretted it later because I never saw Dave again. He and his brother were the first people I ever jammed with, and I wish I had that guitar for sentimental reasons.
When I saw the sticker I thought of you, and boom, it was your post. LOL!

Ya, that's a big ask. They can be had, but most of them are the custom models that go for 3-5k. I read that Gibson had a small run of TV Yellow DC's in 2018, and they sold out in a few hours. I did snag a TV Yellow Special when they were blowing out the specials for cheap. This was like 5 years ago. I think they were like 550-650, something like that. I purchased two colors back then. TV Yellow, and Vintage Sunburst.
Not sayin' you couldn't snag one for a lot less. Timing is everything...

Something about a wine red Studio that just is awesome. Such a classy color. There are some nice looking Studios on this thread.

De ville: What is that ellipse between the bridge of your Les Paul and the end of it? Is it a hole in the guitar? It appears you can see the plaid sofa fabric through it if you look closely enough.

Nice looking Studio, De Ville. :-)
I've got two Studios; an early '90's Studio Gem in Sapphire, which I hear as a semi-limited edition, might be worth a few quid now. It's an excellent guitar, with gold fittings and p90's. One of my best sounding guitars, but I just can't get along with the chunky(ish) neck.
I've also got a black '50's Tribute, that I put a Bigsby on, and use for our Neil Young stuff. It also sounds great, and the neck isn't quite as big as the Gem, but I still wish I'd gone for a '60's Tribute.
I think I'd definitely be interested in a weight relieved LP these days ;-)

I was surprised when I picked it up how light it is. Kind of makes me wonder if it's chambered instead of weight relieved. I think I read that all Les Paul's after the mid 80's are at least weight relieved. Makes me wonder. Need an X-Ray machine.

De ville that’s a beautiful studio . Love that top. Here’s a not a very good pic of my Tribute . I honestly didn’t have very high expectations of it , but it has really impressed me. I got rid of my 10 plus lb classic . This thing is under 8lbs. imgur.com/gallery/WJNZx7pimgur.com/xFV2O36

I've been prowling Reverb and found a couple Studios I dig.
I like the Platinum from the 2000s, and the Silver Pearl from the 2010s.
Curse you guys and your Gibson threads!
