The news is reporting a tiger in a zoo has tested positive. How does that happen? Like you’ve never coughed on a tiger before....

Look out for the new Netflix series Tiger Coughing.
Two African lions have dry coughs too. No giraffes involved.

Going to leave this thread for others to post their experiences, if any, but as we all remain symptom free for several days now, I’m going to conclude my updates. Thanks for all the support and well wishes, friends. Good to know you and your family are all right now.

My neighbor Larry continues to improve. He's still on oxygen and very weak, but he actually talked to his wife today. That's huge given where he was 5 days ago.

Mike, just saw your symptom free. Glad to hear it! Did you guys ever even get congested, or did your immune system tamp it down before that point?

My oldest daughter has tested positive. She was experiencing symptoms enough to the point that she was granted an appointment for a test and sure enough she had it. She seems to be ok now, pretty much a mild case but it has scared the daylights out of me. Her father-in-law, who is a very close friend of mine, had a pretty bad case, at one point warranting a trip via ambulance to the ER but he improved greatly after some IV fluids and a few hours of O2 and was sent home. He too, seems to be on the road to recovery. The worst part of all this for me is being unable to even see my daughter, much less be able to provide any kind of care. We have a very high amount of reported cases here in my county and numerous deaths. I can't imagine what the families of those who didn't survive are going through not even being able to have a wake or funeral, or even be allowed to sit with a loved one in the hospital.

Sorry to hear it k9, but glad it seems to be the mild one.
And you hit a pretty good point, especially about the hospitalizations. My wife’s best friend in a California has been hospitalized for not coronavirus but potentially life threatening brain surgery, and they won’t allow anyone to be with her for fear of spreading the virus.

My brother north of Seattle has a neighbor who got it and he's coming around. He's around 70, had 2 open heart surgeries, just finished 6 months of chemo and caught it, but is now pulling through.

Boy...some of these folks are really facing challenges. Mike...you and yours certainly did well. But hearing about these other folks who've really gotten hit is a heartbreak. Tough stuff, for sure.

Agree totally. For the most part, it was like we had colds. It’s like we had something else compared to what some people are going through.

I'm very glad you guys are OK, Mike, I appreciate it, I am too. If we don’t kill each other just from being around each other all day every day, we’ll be fine.

My neighbor continues to improve. Still on O2, but down to 3 liters and out of ICU. They plan to keep him for 7-10 more days because he's so weak and still has breathing issues.
He can sit up and talk, but only for brief periods. Still too weak to walk.

We didn’t do anything but rest, staying away from people, and Tylenol for the aches. I hope you aren’t asking because you need to know...
