Likewise, I'm interested in hearing your review. My friend's thinking of buying another one before the prices go up.

Personally, I’ve liked the Agiles I’ve had. And I still have one I bought new around 2008. A Tele clone that killed the MIM Tele of the day for half the price. Now... the SX line? Meh... I don’t expect this guitar to be a Gibson. And my Agile LP-o-copies have given way to Gibsons. But a 335 is a lot of dosh. I can’t even find a used one under $3k. So I thought I’d give one of these a whack. 😜 They had a few models that were killer, but the lesser ones had much to be desired.

Their 8-string basses look nice, but that bridge does not allow for intonation on each string. No dice here.
They would probably be my first choice for a 6-string bass if I were curious about that because they offer a fretless option and I would be the whackjob who would get a 6-string fretless bass to discover if I really liked 6-strings.

Speaking of cheap hardware, my MIC Gretsch Streamliner was a real looker when I got it. Within a couple of months, the hardware began to tarnish (bridge, pickups, tuners) and it won't come off. I'm wondering if something in the case, such as the glue, released some zoomies that counteracted with the chrome. The case had a strong glue smell whenever I'd open it for the longest time. It's a Gretsch case.

Very keen to see to how this plays out One of the things I like about the website was the presence of left-handed guitars for our "altered" friends. Nice to see them represented up front.

Nickel will tarnish waaaay faster and get that old look quickly, and it usually does it from your skin, so if there are any correlations to where you're touching, that is of note. The pickups can be obvious, where they have more marks on the top than under the strings, or the bridge where you might rest your palm.
I just googled that model, and the first spec page I found said nickel hardware, so it is possible.

That is one of the reasons for not liking Nickel. Much Prefer chrome

Thanks for the info, Funk!
FWIW, all of my guitars except one are either chrome or nickel and none have tarnished like this.

Looks like they do indeed use Grover tuners. Closeup from a Reverb KSA50 Screenshot_

Interesting. What are the other nickel guitars? I'm not sure there is a way to make nickel not tarnish, but maybe there is something more than meets the eye.

So wiping down nickel hardware each time you finish playing doesn't help? Seems to for me

I wondered too. I'm guessing on the side. Also, I'm not really crazy about the switch location. That's pretty much where Gibson puts the switch on their 339; since that is a smaller-body 335-alike, that explains a lot. I've gotten my hands on a few of these Chinese lookalikes in the Gibson, Fender, and Rickenbacker styles. A few have been pretty good, and most are prettier on the website but not so much when you peek under their petticoats. A lot of the "Grover" tuners on MIC guitars are fakes, even though they have the name in the metal casting.

I’d bet they put the switch there for ease of installation of the wiring harness.
We’ll see what these are all about this Thurs.

My friend's Wolf LP was made in Korea, but the sound will fool you on a blindfold test!

My delivery date is next Tuesday. I think they take the order and issue a tracking #, but the guitar goes through its setup before it actually ships.
MiK is a good thing!

Aside from my current Gretsch I've had 3 other MIK guitars, all Agiles. All very good. The AL-3100 I had I sold off to a father of a kid who shortly after sent me a video of the kid playing a backyard gig, made me feel good about getting rid of it. At a basement jam we compared it to the Gibson LP of the other guitarist. He and the bass player are skilled engineers who have made their own guitars from scratch and I consider highly qualified to opine. While acknowledging things like maple cap thickness the admiration was there for the quality, playability and sound of the instrument. We actually lol'd at the side by side sound, they were so similar. When I ordered it I asked if it was possible to get a lighter one and surprisingly it was under 9 lbs. Maybe I lucked out. The other Agiles I've owned were good, the Coolcat in particular. The Harm1 was my least favorite. I've since played a MIK PRS that had the same consistent quality to it.
Call me impressed. Good luck with the Wolf and I hope you hate it. Otherwise, I might have to buy one. 😎
