I've bought a Strat and a Les Paul in the past two months, which is very unusual for me to do. Now I'm still browsing Reverb daily and drooling. It's the world's longest snow day and I'm going nuts. There’s a very unique Lefty Thinline Tele listed there. 😉😜

I'd love to be surprised. I've played a hell of a lot of guitars over the last 40 some years, currently my herd is about 50 total, that said I'd love to run into something that would really make me want it, and totally surprise me.
I have no clue as to what that guitar would/could be, but hope springs eternal?

Thinking it might be time for me to pop for that 50s Squier Classic Vibe Tele. I can't build a Partscaster for the price, and I have some stuff for upgrades in the stash.

"At least you aren't sitting at home bored and unhappy! Congratulations. I love Jazzmasters but can't justify one right now. " No, I'm not a boredom type. I also paint (art). Between guitar and art I'm pretty well set for the duration.

Just ordered a Danelectro 60th Anniversary DC59 NOS+ . Can't wait! Anticipation is probably the best part.

I'm normally pretty good at tamping down the urge. But these days... yeah, I'm feeling the desire for a little retail therapy. I'm dealing with it by sitting on my hands. A good idea since I'm going on official layoff starting April 1. Anybody else find themselves lingering over potential purchases more than usual? Here's one of the sirens I'm resisting: eastwoodguitars.com/collections/guitars/products/airline-mercury-dlxVery cool guitar! Demo sounds great! Especially like the Burgundy Burst model

I'm really looking for a nice Gibbo ES-335 in cherry, preferrably a 63 RI (block markers). Its the swiss army knife of the Gibson line up, I think.

Oh yeah! I think I played a righty one of those at Elderly Music years back, gorgeous.
I opted on the MIK Gretsch, just couldn't justify spending that kind of coin on a whim guitar.

I would have bought a MIK, but they’re not available lefty. I’ve been prowling for months. Rocky, they should be Gretsch Filtertrons.
Edited:
I just looked it up - should be High Sensitivity Filtertrons. So... different than my Blacktop Filtertrons in my 5420. I don't know any more than that.

Not really GASsing for a new guitar at the moment, I have three electrics (Strat, Tele, Gibson ES-335) as well as an acoustic and I'm fine with my options there for now.
My acoustic is a "Parlour" size so a little bit smaller/quieter than (say) a Dreadnought so in the longer run I may add another acoustic or replace this one but I'm fine with it for now.
What I am giving more serious consideration to is that I'd like to upgrade my Bass. Right now I have a Squier Standard Jazz, and I like it well enough but I'm starting to feel the need for something nicer.
Nothing definite in mind yet - I had been watching the inventory of the local Guitar Center online to see if any interesting Basses showed up there but they're now closed temporarily. I'm still watching Craigslist, though, to see if anything fun shows up there.

"I have three electrics (Strat, Tele, Gibson ES-335)..."
Now THAT is a trio I could live with if I ever downsized. A Les Paul in there wouldn't hurt, tho. 😁

W WOW, love that guitar and that color! Great choice Lefty! What kind of pickups are those? The don't look like filtertrons.

I haven't needed or even wanted a new guitar for a long time, but....those 60's Anniversary Jazzmasters with the block inlays look sweet. And if I had one, it would get used at church, a lot. Stimulus money just arrived....hmmm.

A Les Paul in there wouldn't hurt, tho. 😁 They are pretty great and all sound very different so I have lots of options. I did have an Epi LP Standard for a while but I ended up trading it for some other (non-guitar) gear. I would eventually like to get another LP or LP-style guitar but that's lower priority right now. Also my Strat is a hardtail so I may look into getting a second Strat at some point if I ever feel like playing around with a Trem. My dream guitar is some sort of Rickenbacker, not sure exactly which model but there are several I like. In any case, in the short term the only thing I'm looking into is upgrading into a better Bass.

I've mulled this question over extensively for some time now. Given the fact I have over 50 guitars and had already planned starting a sell off sometime this year well....I still have an itch to scratch getting some sort of "new" one for me. I've thought about it a lot, and sadly my only real axe lust right now is an original Black Beauty Custom Les Paul from 1956ish with the "staple P90's". I passed on a really nice one a few decades ago, like this: guitar.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/gibson-1956-les-paul-custom@1068x800-696x522.jpg

50 guitars? I have 1/2 that many and feel it's way, way too many. but that's me, I hate seeing them laying around unplayed. not itching for any new ones, I was getting ready to sell some before the virus hit, but now...? hard to know if prices are at their lowest now or maybe later if the pandemic continues. probably a good time to be buying rather than selling.

I downsized before moving from Michigan to Florida, accumulated more and moved to Texas. Now I have more than I ever did; 13 on the wall, 2 in the closet counting a mandolin, bass and lap steel. I don't wish to hang the Martin that's in the closet but there is a conspicuous bare spot on the wall above and to the left of my desk. The incoming Gretsch will look dandy there. Then I'm done.

I just took inventory and I'm up to 33. I have 2 listed, right now, and 3 more to list. Of those 3, 2 are builds awaiting parts.

As mentioned before my itch has been scratched! Hard to figure why I haven't gotten one of these before.

Rather than more guitars, I'm striving to bond with the 7 electric I own. I take one out and play it until I learn its strengths and weaknesses.
